I happened across this pairing when I was looking up reference images for Lightning for my previous drawing. There, in the search box, like the 4th suggestion was "final fantasy lightning and cloud." And I thought to myself, "Hmm, maybe I should draw them paired together later." So I did.

Although in retrospect, I feel like there would be a lot of moping and emo-ness if they were ever together. Not to mention that Lightning would probably punch Cloud in the face every 5 seconds for being such a downer. :giggle:

Materials:
Sketchbook Paper 8.5 x 11 in.
Mechanical Pencil HB hardness
Magic Rub Eraser
References used for hair and clothing, but the poses are my own creation.

Hey, if you're curious to see what their relationship would be like check out my fanfic at Fanfiction.net titled Of My Dreams in the crossover section.

Basically I explore that suggestion that their only emo because they don't have each other. If you have the time take a look and see if anything inspires you.

Awww soo cute! I had this couple in my head the instant I saw Lightning the first time.

Jajaja! Maybe yes, there would be a lot of moping and emo-ness, but would be the sweetest moping and emo-ness! and Lightning punching Cloud would be cute and funny XDDDD (like a hot amazon with hercules, or a spartan *-*)
