So the new trailer is out for the new Hunger Games movie, as of this morning on Good Morning America. And yes, it is a real one this time. You can see it here:

[link]

What are your thoughts on this movie? I think that from the looks of it, it is pretty darn close to the book, which makes me very excited. The odds are definitely in their favor. Makes me want to do more HG fanart.

Sorry I haven't been drawing anything lately, by the way, I've been swamped with college trying to eat my soul. Will try to draw stuff soon though.

PEACE. :O

As many of my new fans may already know, I have recently been featured on Mockingjay.net for my Hunger Games fan art. You can see the full article here:

[link]

On Saturday afternoon, I woke to find like a bajillion feedback messages in my message box. Bewildered and stunned, I immediately looked on Google to see what all the commotion was about, and I stumbled on this site that featured my art. You will all be happy to know that I did literally jump up and down and squeal out of sheer excitement. I did also actually comment on that article under my deviantArt name thanking the people who featured me, but it was after the fact that I realized that probably nobody would believe that it was actually my comment haha.

Anyways, just to rehash my excitement, thank you so much Mockingjay.net for the feature and to all of my fans for their amazing support! I love you all so much!

All right, so I'm a member of the Black-White-Club. I have enjoyed the group's art immensely, and had a lot of respect for the group... until now. Just read their most recent journal and watch your eyes bleed out from the atrocious grammar:

[link]

For a group with over 6,000 members, you would think that these people have at least a 5th grade writing level. I left a comment saying that their group is great but they have horrible grammar.

The writer promptly told me that there is nothing wrong with the grammar and that has nothing at all to do with the group, and that I shouldn't be "so damn rude" and that there is a difference between typos and slang. She then promptly deleted my comment.

Really, Black-White-Club? Really?

At this point I was totally pissed off, but resigned myself to leave a comment saying that there is definitely something wrong with her grammar, and that while she may not think that it has nothing to do with the group, bad grammar drives people away from anything, especially professional groups (if you agree can i get a HEAR HEAR!! :P). I then suggested that she let someone proofread her journals before posting them.

A day later, my comment was deleted again.

As a part of the Internet Grammar Crusaders, I am at a crossroads. I really like the group because of the artwork. However, terrible grammar, and, more importantly, incredibly rude admins, part of me really wants to either leave or keep leaving comments until I'm kicked out. Help.

Okay guys, hold on tight, because it's about to get tense all up in here. I may start ranting, so... if you care what I have to say, read on.

I am just SOOOOO furious and outraged at this guy (unnamed, I'll name him Matt to protect privacy), who is in my art class. Total lack of respect. Okay, so we are currently doing a "free painting" in art, and my friend who sits across from me (also unnamed, I guess I'll name her Rachel for privacy as well) was painting something that had to do with fingerprints and footprints. I thought it was cool. Anyways, Rachel had to get up and get some water for her brushes. While she was away, this kid Matt just comes up to her artwork and starts fingerpainting all over it for no reason. He doesn't even have a problem with Rachel as far as I know, so I don't know why he is doing this. I ask him what the hell he is doing, and he coolly replies that he is making it "look better." (this guy is, like, 17, so...) What? Anyway, he walks away cool as ever, and Rachel comes back and find her painting all fingerpainted on, and suddenly starts to cry. Hey, I would too, if someone fingerpaints all over my artwork. Or hit someone. Anyway, our class immediately tells our teacher what he did, and she proceeds to write him up after becoming furious. And Matt just sits there and doesn't even apologize for what he did. RRRRRRRGH!! I was so angry! I overheard him telling his friends that he suffers from some kind of ADHD and he didn't even know what he was doing. I think this is a load of crap, as I saw clearly that he knew what he was doing. And even if what he said was true, why wasn't he telling this to Rachel, the victim, instead of his friends, the bystanders? I think he still should have apologized for his actions, even so. After my friend and I yelled at him to apologize, he claimed that he shouldn't have to apologize for something he didn't know what he was doing. And besides, he claimed, she washed it off, it was no big deal. How is it supposed to help me? he says. That's no excuse! He made her cry, for God sakes! Why shouldn't he have to apologize for that? I think he's just a coward who is only concerned with himself. I used to think he was all right, but now, I'm just so FURIOUS about what he did.

Okay, sorry people. Rant over.

Yes, folks, it is finally here! I am proud to say that I have reached 2000 hits!!! :XD: And the lucky person who made the 1999th pageview was: *drumroll*

:iconalchemic-reaction: ~alchemic reaction
Yes, congratulations! I'm not sure what he (or she?) wishes for me to sketch, but I wait with bated breath for the answer.

And now, I would like to list my thanks to all the people who made this possible. First, I would like to say thanks to my mom, without whom I would not be on this world. And I guess my dad played a part in that too. And I guess my grandparents had to give birth to them so that I would be here. So I thank them too. And while I'm at it, I would like to thank every person in my family lineage for directly or indirectly playing a part in my overall birth. Without you guys, I wouldn't be here. :happycry:

Next, I would like to thank you, the fans. I mean, without appreciators of artwork, what would be the point of artwork, anyway? You really don't realize how important you are. I'm just here to let you guys know that I value each and every one of you.

And last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank the person who had the mind and skill to invent the pencil. Genius.

Hey, everyone! It's finally actually feeling like spring! So exciting. That was a long, extremely harsh winter, don't you agree? At least, it was here in America.

Well, spring is here, and that means... SPRING BREAK!!! woot! Since I'm not planning on going anywhere this spring break, I can concentrate more on those drawings I've been meaning to do. I have an OC that will be submitted in the very near future, for all those who care.

In other news, I am happy to announce that my account page is close to getting 2000 hits! I am so excited! And you know how other people ask people to take a snapshot if they are the 2000th viewer? Well, here's a new twist. Prove to me that you are the 1999th viewer with a desktop snapshot sent by note, and I will create a super-awesome drawing of your choosing, provided it is appropriate and not gross or perverted, etc. That way, you can feel special.

Sorry guys, but the OC and chibi pic on my list of future artworks will not be submitted to deviantArt. The reason for this is that I have submitted these drawings to my school's annual art magazine, known as Grafitti. This magazine is created for and by the entire student body, in which any student can submit anything art related, whether it be drawings, photographs, paintings, poetry, prose, or something of that nature. They can be submitted between January and March, and, once submitted, they are reviewed for whether or not they are good enough for the magazine. The mag usually comes out between April and May, and it's really cheap (last year they were only 5 bucks each. :excited:). I just hope my drawings get in!

ARTWORK:

Okay, I lied. It seems I will be posting Aertih, of FFVII Advent Children in the near future. The reason for my doing so is that my art teacher took up everyone's sketchbooks for a grade on Friday. Seeing as all the artworks I was working on were in that sketchbook, I had nothing to work on over the weekend. So i started Aerith, just until I get my sketchbook back. Seeing as I still don't have it after Tuesday, as my teacher hasn't gotten around to actually grading them, I figure I might as well finish it.

Future Works:

Aerith - Advent Children (WIP)
Random Chibi Thing (almost done... still)
Realistic OC (WIP)
Ashe - FFXII
Link and Zelda on Epona - Twilight Princess

Oh well. Here goes nothin.

The rules:

- You must quote the person who tagged you
- You must copy-paste the rules in your journal
- You must mention six facts or habits of no real importance to you
- You must tag six persons at the end

Hmm... quoting ColonelFitz...

           Falling
             Plop!

from the poem, "Plop". Teehee! :giggle:

Okay, unimportant info:

2. I can sing my ABCs... BACKWARDS! People make me sing them all the time. Annoying much?

3. I have the secret desire to live as a hobo for a day. Maybe when I'm rich I'll try it. :XD:

5. My Wii is named Bojangles. Seriously.

Okay, laser tag is officially the coolest sport ever created by man. It's like paintball, but with less mess and less bruises. Which is good for me, since pain = bad.

For those of you who are not familiar with this sport, let me explain how it goes (for those of you who are, feel free to skip this paragraph :XD:):
Laser Tag is a shooting game much like paintball, except it's every man for himself instead of teams (idk I guess you could play teams if you wanted), and it's played indoors, in the dark. The dark room is usually filled with blacklights, so certain things glow so you can see where you're going. The idea is to wear dark clothes so you don't glow yourself. Anyways, the object of the game is to shoot as many people as you can, as many times as possible, in a set time limit, somewhere between 25 and 30 minutes. You lose points if shot, gain them if you shoot someone. You get a scorecard at the end of the game, and the highest score wins. You play this game with a device called a laser gun, which pretty much shoots a red laser out of it, and a vest you put on, with various light-up devices. There are three targets on a person which react to the laser, which, when activated, render him or her unable to shoot or be shot at for five seconds, allowing for a safe getaway. These points are located on the front of the vest, the back of the vest, and on the laser gun itself. You can also choose a nickname to identify yourself with. Overall, it's a really fun game.

Anyways, I just felt like reminiscing about an experience I had a few years ago. My brother, my friend, his brother and I (which makes 4 :XD:) all went to play laser tag. We were the only ones there, since this was during spring break. So we decided to have some fun. We nicknamed ourselves as follows:
My friend: Everybody
His brother: Anybody
Me: Somebody
My brother: Nobody
Here's how the game went:

We all went into the briefing room and put on our vests. Everybody went into the dark room first, to go hide. Somebody forgot to wear black, so she stuck out like a sore thumb. When the game started, everybody got shot right away by anybody. Then, nobody ran into somebody, and somebody got shot. Everybody tripped at some point in the game, and since there were mirrors in the room. nobody shot himself once. Anybody was dominating the game halfway through when out of nowhere, somebody took the lead. It was an intense game, but everybody ended up in last place. Somebody got first place. Anybody colud have gotten second, but nobody managed to swipe silver. Everybody got really sweaty in the end, so nobody bought drinks for the group after the game was over. It was a fun game.:XD:

Tell me about some of your laser tag/not laser tag adventures!
Ah, Valentines Day. A happy time of roses and chocolate as you and your lover spend a romantic evening together in the candlelight...

Or, for all us single people, Valentine's Day is a time of wallowing and bitter resentment as we watch all the other couples around us share kisses and other objects of romance as we ourselves simmer in our bitterness. That's right, folks, February 14th is also known as Single Awareness Day, or SAD Day, for all us singles. Pretty much the saddest day of the year for all those who do not share feelings with a significant other. So shout out to me, single people of the world, so we may share our hopelessness and depression on that fateful day.

:)

:noes: oh well, this should be fun! Here goes:

The rules:
1. Post all the rules!
2. Write eight things about yourself.
3. Post these things into your journal.
4. Tag eight other people.
5. Visit their journals so that they have NO excuse not to do it!

Me!:

1. I am practically immune to sickness. The last time I got sick was in the seventh grade (4 years ago), and I have never gotten sick since. Okay, sometimes I get headaches, but THAT DOESN"T COUNT!!!

2. I absolutely HATE English with a passion. It's not the writing itself, just the class. But math and sciences are definitely my thing. So if you need help on your math homework, I'm here! :XD:

3. I don't usually talk about myself.

4. I am viciously inept when it comes to cooking. You know what I can make? Toast. :toast: And cereal.

5. I have never been out of the country before. I think I need to get out more.

6. I come from a heredity of extremely skinny folks. It's not my fault. My dad was 5'11" and 120 lbs in college. His dad was practically the same. So, I can't help if I'm unnaturally skinny. It's in the genes.

7. I enjoy classical symphony music. You may think I'm old-fashioned, but I really enjoy it. Rap, on the other hand, I could do without. And country.

8. I have absolutely no musical talent. I can't sing, nor can I play an instrument. Oh, wait, I take that back. I CAN play the kazoo. Maybe I'll start a kazoo band. We can play classical songs and eat toast and cereal all the time.  :XD:

So this would be that fateful time in the year of Art class when we are required to draw pictures of ourselves. I must say I'm a little creeped out by this project. Yesss!!!! My first 1000 hits has finally come! Thanks to everyone for the support and the pageviews. They say the first 1000 is the hardest to get. I hope that 2000 is not as far away. Thanks again to everyone! :happycry:

Now, you may have noticed that I haven't been submitting many deviations lately. What with semester finals crammage, Christmas shannanigans, and the fact that I have to do 2 pencil drawings for my aunt and friend's birthdays by the end of January (both of these will not be submitted), I don't have much free time to make any deviations. But never fear! I am not dead, nor have I lost my art talent. I've just been extremely busy.

I am planning on sketching the following FF characters when I get the chance, to brush up on my pencil drawing skills:
Vincent Valentine
Cid Highwind
Balthier (FFXII)

If there are any characters you want me to draw that I haven't already, lemme know!

::SPOILER WARNING!!! Well, not really. It's just something I noticed that might or might not happen in one of the next episodes... but DON'T READ IT IF YOU DON"T WANNA KNOW!::

So I've been noticing the dates that are being thrown out on this season. Let me show you what I mean:

Date of Peter's explosion: November 2006.
Why: Hiro went forward in time in the beginning of the first season and looked at the newspaper in Isaac's studio, and that was the date on the newspaper.

Current Date in season 2: March 2007.
Why: The first episode of the second season was entitled "Four Months Later" which would set this date as the current one.

Date of Evacuation of New York: June 2008.
Peter said that this is one year in the future, which backs up the previous date mentioned.

Now here's the fishy part:

Date of DL's death: 2007.
This was the year engraved on DL's gravestone, when Micah and Nikki visited his grave.

But think about it - 2007? Didn't DL supposedly die on the day that Peter exploded, which was set in 2006? Now, this may be a typo in the episode, but I seriously doubt it. This must mean that DL didn't die on that day (but I mean, what else is new? Nobody else did...). He must have died somewhere in-between Seasons 1 and 2. Don'tcha think?

It's just a thought.

OK so here's some ideas for worlds, some from the more obscure Disney movies, possibly to be visited in KH3 (yeah I know, they're mostly stupid, but that's the point...):

The Amazon - Jungle Book
East High - High School Musical
The Chalk Drawing - Mary Poppins
The Manor - The Aristocats
Magical Forest - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Hawaii - Lilo and Stitch
The Meadow - Bambi (maybe Sora turns into a bunny lol)
Mesoamerica - The Emperor's New Groove
The Circus - Dumbo
NYC - Oliver and Company
The Cathedal - The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Davy Jones' Locker - Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End

Okay, most likely few if none of these worlds will make it to KH3, but I can dream, can't I? Anyways, tell me what you think, and maybe tell me your ideas. :)
So... school's started, and pretty soon I will be totally swamped with homework. I'll try to make at least some time to get online whenever I can. But since I'm a Junior now, taking all honor's classes, there really aren't any promises. But I will try.
